Firstly, thanks must go to the committee for the invite and for a well-run show. Thanks to my two stewards who were excellent and kept things moving and lastly to the exhibitors for a great entry.

On the whole I found the dogs were better than the bitches for overall quality however I was pleased with my main winners.

MPD (2,0) 1. Crawley’s Ragus War Paint. A lovely puppy, full of quality and correct for his age. Good head proportions, broad skull with good stop and strong muzzle. Dark eye with keen expression. Correct ears. Good length to neck into a well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Deep and cobby with short back, well boned legs and round feet. Super ribs carried well back and holding a good topline. Coat in great order and he moved true both ways holding his outline and striding out well in profile.

2. Darkins’ Ragus Sand Marten. Not quite as mature 1. Good head proportions, correct stop and dark oval eye. Enough neck into well balanced front and rear. Good bone and tight feet. Good ribbing and well held topline. Short back. Coat coming well. Moved soundly with drive holding a nice shape.

PD (5,1) 1. Inett, Harrison and Crawley’s Ragus Silver Gilt. What a star! Not much I would change about this super young dog who must have a great future. An ideal size, just right for maturity. Super head with correct proportions, good stop, broad, slightly rounded skull and well-set ear. Keen, dark eye. Lengthy neck into clean shoulder. Good depth, well sprung ribs carried well back to short loin. Well set tail. Lovely hindquarters and totally balanced with good bone and feet. He really comes alive on the move where he is absolutely true up and back and really opens up in profile with reach and drive. Coat was well presented and he was handled very well. BP RDCC and RBIS. Loved him.

2. Ostermann and Smith’s Ragus Pearl Fisher. Nice size and balanced. Well-proportioned head, good stop and shape to muzzle. Well set ears of correct size. Length to neck, ok in front, good ribbing and depth with a good topline. Short loin. Could be better behind. Moved ok. Coat in good order.

3. Armstrong and Egginton’s Ragus Blue Steel. A smaller, ultra typey dog. Good head proportions. Ok in neck, well angulated and balanced in front and behind. Had correct bone for his size. Good depth and ribbing, with short back. Moved soundly. Coat needs some attention.

JD (1,0) 1. Haynes and Crawley’s Ragus Fine Old Port. A heavier, bigger dog but balanced and in proportion. Good head, correct ear, oval eye but would prefer it a bit darker. Length to neck and balanced in angulation both ends. Strong bone and tight feet. Good depth and ribbing. Short back, well set tail. Not the soundness up and back but used himself well in profile. Excellent coat which was well presented.

ND (1,0) 1. Ostermann and Smith’s Ragus Pearl Fisher. Seen previously.

PGD (1,0) 1. Barge and Hardwicke’s Bring Me Laughter. Good head proportions, typical eye and good ears. Enough neck, good shoulder and with good bone and tight feet. Depth of body and well sprung ribs, would like him shorter in loin and in overall body length but held his topline. Well-turned stifle, would like him shorter from hock to heel. Moved soundly and with drive in profile. Coat needs some attention.

LD (3,0) 1. Crawley’s Mr Holmes Investigates Ragus. Top class dog, again a nice size but with substance and bone in a smaller package. Good head, keen eye and well set ears, lengthy neck into well laid shoulder, deep chest and well sprung ribs, short loin, good turn of stifle and well set tail. Well boned legs and tight feet. Very good coat and well presented. Moved with soundness, reach and drive holding his outline.

2. Graves’ Belleville I’m at Pipsacre. Another lovely dog, well made and balanced with good head, strong muzzle and dark oval eye with correct expression. Deep ribs, short back, well held topline and moved and showed well, with soundness. Well presented.

3 Page and Crawley’s Fantasia’s Wild Magic (imp USA). Not in his best coat and not co-operating with his handler today. Good head and eye. Well set ears. Enough neck and balanced in construction with good ribbing, short back and well held topline. Sinks into his backend on the table which doesn’t help his overall outline. Good bone, straight front and well-padded feet. Moved ok.

OD (3,1) 1. Crawley and Baldwin’s Ch Ragus Punch Bowl. A top-quality Norwich with that extra showmanship that sets him apart from the others. Top size but all in proportion and not overdone. Beautiful head, with correct proportions, a perfect oval eye with that real keen look. Beautiful neck in a well made front, very good depth and ribbing into a short loin, with short back and good topline. Well angulated quarters and very good bone and feet. Well set tail. Has the substance with correct outline. When he comes to move, he literally glides over the ground with precision coming towards you, reach in front in profile and drive in the rear showing his pads as he goes away. In top class coat and so well presented. DCC and BIS.

2. Martin’s Ragus Oh Boy. A favourite of mine and all Norwich. A lovely size with everything in proportion and balanced. Typical head, eye and ears. Good neck and well angulated both ends. Good ribbing and depth with short back and substance. Good tail. Moved well, covering the ground. In good coat and well handled. Considered for higher awards but not quite the scope on the move as the CC and RCC today.

SBD (2,0) 1. Morris and Reid’s Brickin Blame The Game. Lovely head, ok in eye. Balanced and well made both ends. Lengthy neck, good shoulder and hind angulation. Has the depth of ribbing and short back. Good bone and feet. Coat well presented. Moved well covering the ground. Well presented and in good coat.

2. Ostermann and Smith’s Ragus Pearl Fisher. Seen 2nd in puppy.

MPB (5,0) A mixed class of puppies all at different stages of development. 1. Haynes Alantro Regal Jewel. Won on her overall construction and soundness. Her head is well proportioned, just needs to fill out and broaden which it will. Good neck and well made in front, with legs well under her, good bone and feet. Good ribbing and depth for her age, held her topline and with correct angulation behind. Neat tail and on the move she was sound and used herself well. In her puppy coat but was well presented. BPB.

2. Armstrong and Lawrance’s Elantiz Autumnal Spice. Another lovely puppy who was close up. More mature then 1 and very typical in outlook. Good head, broad skull and strong muzzle, keen eye and enough neck. Balanced angles but could maybe have more both ends. Good ribbing and depth. Good bone and cat feet. Not the soundness as 1 but used what she has very well and looked good in profile. In very good coat and well handled.

3. Webster’s Brancovas Enola Holmes. Head will come with age; good stop and overall proportions. Well set ears. Good depth and topline. Correct bone and feet. Balanced angulation. Good coat. Moved with soundness.

PB (4,3) 1. Graves’ Pipsacre Along Came Polly. Such a shame she was by herself and there was no one to bounce off and give her confidence. Lovely head, well proportioned, good stop and correct ears. Length to neck into good shoulder with legs well under her. Good ribbing and depth, well held topline. Good quarters and low hock. Good bone and well-padded feet. Moved ok when she got going. When she gets it together should do very well.

JB (6,0) 1. Webster’s Ragus Another Button. Typey, well made bitch, A lovely size and balanced with very good coat and well presented. Lovely head with good proportion, lengthy neck and good topline with ribs extended well back. Short loin, good bone and well padded feet. On the move she was clean in front and looked good in profile but could have been sounder behind. Well handled.

2. Armstrong and Lawrence’s Elantiz I Am Who I Am. Well proportioned head, good stop and well-set ears. Enough neck but could have better shoulder and upper arm. Well ribbed and deep chest, short back and well-turned stifle with low hock. Tail set well. On the move she could have been better in front but was sound behind and used herself well. Very good coat and well presented. More furnishings would finish her off. Well handled.

3. Darkins’ Winflash Love to Question. Ok in head, dark oval eye. Enough neck and well laid shoulder. Good depth and ribbing but slightly longer in body. Ok behind. Moved ok. Good coat texture.

YB (4,1) 1. Bell’s Dorinor Royal Maid. What a beautiful typey Norwich girl. For me she had a very good head, with broad skull, good proportions, strong muzzle and correct eye and expression. Ears set well and pointed. Good neck and well laid shoulder, straight well boned legs and tight, well-padded feet. Good ribbing, substance and depth. Short loin and a very good topline. Neat tail of good shape. She could have a little more angle behind but had low set hock and strength there. She was an ideal size, in good coat and well presented. On the move she came at me right and used herself well in profile. All in all, a very good Norwich who should be an easy Champion. Pleased to award her, her first CC.

2. Hardwicke’s Norowic Lady of Rohan. Balanced and a nice size. Good head, correct stop and strong muzzle. Length to neck and well made in front with good bone and well-padded feet. Had depth and well sprung ribs, good substance. Well held topline and strong behind. Moved over the ground well and in good coat.

3. Darkins’ Winflash Love to Question. Seen in previous class.

NB (1,0) 1. Page’s Winflash Love You. Typey little bitch with a good head and lovely expression. Lengthy neck into good front, deep chest, and ribbing extending well back. Well angulated behind and low set hock. Tight feet, would prefer more bone. Moved soundly with good topline and good tail. Coat needs some attention.

PGB (3,2) 1. Jacobs’ Alantro Step Onto The Vean. Typey head and eye. Good ear set and correctly pointed. Enough neck into good angles front and back with depth and correct

ribbing. Good bone and feet. Cobby with good substance. Moved soundly but can lose her topline a little when stacked and on the move.

LB (2,1) 1. Page’s Winflash Fumeur. Not happy today. A lovely type, with well-proportioned head and dark oval eye. Good neck and well made in front, ok for bone with well padded feet. Good ribbing and substance, short loin and good topline. Well-turned stifle. Coat of good texture. Hard to assess on the move as not wanting to go today.

OB (3,1) Two nice bitches 1. Hitchen’s Kreatin Truly Extra. Head well proportioned, dark oval eye with keen expression. Good ears, well set. Enough neck into well laid shoulder with legs well under her. Good bone and feet. Had depth and good ribs, short back and good topline. Tail well set. And enough angulation behind. She was honest and used herself well on the move, holding her shape. I would prefer less coat to show off her shape more. Pleased to award her the RCC which I was told afterwards make her a Ch under the new rules. Congratulations.

2. Stevenson’s Brickin Mint Edition. Very good head, dark eye and good ears. Lengthy neck and well made in front and behind. Good ribbing and depth with a well held topline and tail well set. Had the substance and bone. Moved well covering the ground easily. Not the coat or finish of 1 today.
