Norwich Terrier Club Championship Show
held on Sunday, 22nd. November 2015
at Roade Village Hall, Roade, Northants.

I would like to thank the Norwich Terrier Club for allowing me to judge their Championship Show. The atmosphere was very friendly and my two stewards created a relaxed atmosphere and enabled the Show to run smoothly, one of them occasionally putting on a ‘side show’ to maintain the cosy, friendly and homely ambience.
Showing dogs is a hobby for most exhibitors and as such it should be enjoyable for both handler and dog but unfortunately many of the dogs did not seem to be enjoying themselves, in fact, they looked frightened and didn’t use their ears. When showing your dog it is important to keep it interested, communicate with it regularly.

DCC and BIS.
2. Oddie & Lapina’s Ch Ragus Pistols At Dawn, 19/08/13, Br: Mrs A Gibons, Ch Ragus Talk Of The Devil – Ragus Mayfair Morning, good head, dark eyes, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved well, would have liked better use of ears.

Tate’s Jaeva Maid Of Honour, 24/08/14, Br: M Phillips, Ch Ragus Kiss In The Dark – Nurajay Sugar And Spice at Jaeva, black & tan, highly spirited – what I like to see in a Norwich, a champion in the making, wide skull hence good width between ears that were used to provide an impressive picture, dark bright eyes giving the head a keen expression, scissor bite, elbows close to body, good lay back of shoulders, level topline, muscular hind quarters, moved with drive, thoroughly enjoying her day, and behaving when she had to. 3. Martin’s Tinkave Brown Eyed Girl at Kirmir, 19/09/14, Br: J Lazenby, Ch/Am Ch Ascot Sanspur at Yarrow (Imp.USA) – Tinkave Diamond Girl, again another bitch that meets the standard but was in a very strong class.

1. Maisy Dent, aged 11 years. Smartly dressed young lady who showed her charge with ease. Followed my instructions showing the teeth & completed her pattern without getting in between the dog and the udge. Well done. BJH
